NECA Series 1 Pacific Rim Gipsy Danger

I like this Pacific Rim Gipsy Danger Action Figure. This figure comes with great pose-ability and is surprisingly much more durable than any other NECA figure I've gotten. The detail is great and it stands well on its own.

The prototype figures show Gipsy Danger with its hands open, the actual figure has its hands in fists which I think is a better position to have them in. I would have liked it more with interchangeable hands or articulated hands that can be opened or closed. The detail of Pacific Rim Gipsy Danger Action Figure is great, the mechanical detail, scorching and scarring and wear and tear all looks good. The decals are painted on well and the figure overall has a realistic look and seems to be very source accurate. Aside from the hands not being more articulated (a small and minor complaint, I know) my only real complaint is the visor on the figure. Where the pilots stand to operate the Jaeger, their yellow view screen (what looks to be the eyes on the head of the Jaeger) is just painted on.

I would have preferred a clear plastic with a yellow tint attached to the head. The yellow paint they used looks a bit washed and I think would have been more successful had they made it with a clear plastic or even light up effect.

Small and minor gripes, I know, and they don't really detract from the figure. I suppose my standards for NECA are a bit high since they have put out so many this years of what I consider to be their best figures ever. For anyone excited for Pacific Rim, this Pacific Rim Gipsy Danger Action Figure is a must have. Overall, if you really like Mechas, Kaijus or the movie Pacific Rim (I loved the movie), and you do not mind the problems mentioned above then you will not regret purchasing this Pacific Rim Gipsy Danger Action Figure!
